Percy Harvin ? a Shoe in for Next Year?s Nfl Draft?
The ink isn’t even dry yet on the 2008 NFL Draft and word is already getting around that Percy Harvin should be looking at a nice, comfortable spot in the 2009 draft. Odds are he’ll be ready.
Harvin has been considered one of the best two-position players right out of high school in 2006. He is quick – he ran the 40 yard dash in 4.3 seconds – and he is strong, a great rusher and a player who will not give in or back down.
He has had stellar seasons both as a freshman and a sophomore for the Gators, not only rushing and receiving, but even taking a few stabs at quarterback when necessary and logging some completions.
He has been called the next Reggie Bush, not bad for a college player in his second year, going into his third.
He has been awarded for his incredible playing by receiving the 2006 SEC Freshman of the Year award, 2006 Freshman All-American, 2007 First Team All American and 2007 Biletnikoff Award finalist.
Harvin has had his health issues involving his heel. He has had surgery during the off season last month, and they say it looks like Harvin – on of the top college players will be ready to play for the Gators again this coming season.
In the meantime, keep your eyes on him and see what happens. If he recovers well and stays healthy, look for him at the top of the 2009 NFL draft.
