What 1 NFL player from the Past would make the biggest impact on the NFL Today?

If уου сουld bring back аn NFL retired player back tο hіѕ prime today whο wουld іt bе аnd whу?

I wουld сhοοѕе Barry Sanders. Jυѕt tο prove thаt Adrian Peterson саn nοt touch thе guy.

Deion. Not the best, or even a Probowl TACKLER, but the best cover corner of his generation. A close, close, close second would be Rod Woodson. Defense= Championships.

Barry Sanders would be just average with the size of today’s players. he would only be as excellent as say, Julius Jones or Ryan Grant.
–HAHA, I got your there, didn’t I? Just a joke to all of persons who say past players couldn’t compete with today’s guys. Such a B.S. argument.

Not going way back but he is retired and in his prime, he was the man.

    Marshall Faulk

I would have to pick the original LT– Lawrence Taylor.

LT changed the game from the postion, and I have never seen another player ever be so dominating on defense, Ray Lewis is fantastic, but he didn’t hold a candle to LT in his prime.

Honorable Mentions: (you would have to game plot for all these guys)

    1. Barry Sanders: Middle Lions years- nuff said
    2. Reggie White: Eagles years- QB magnet, 3rd and long maker
    3. Jerry Rice: 49ers- greatest route runner, or WR for that matter
    4. Deon Sanders: Falcons years: Shut down one side of the feild
    5. Herschel Walker: UGA and USLF years- speed, power and reciever, has more all function yards in pro ball than any one man (USFL and NFL combined)

  • cunning stunt says:

i 1st thought Barry Sanders and then Jerry Rice.

but there are so many names- Walter Payton, Eric Dickerson, Hershel Walker, Lawrence Tayler, Reggie White, Bruce Smith, Dan Marino…

I’m sticking with Barry Sanders or Jerry Rice…

I would say Barry Sanders as well. The guy was incredible!

There are many who would dominate in today’s Offensive minded NFL but I would choose the origional LT, that is Lawrence Taylor. I doubt he could pass a drug test and play in the NFL but he would be my choice and I have a choice for offensive player and that would be “Sweetness”.
