How far will the NFL go in allowing games to be played in the cold?
I mean, thеrе wаѕ a game last week οf thе Texans/Packers іn 6degree weather. Hοw far wіll thе NFL gο tο play thе game. Iѕ thеrе a сеrtаіn degree whеn thеу wіll postpone a game tο protect thеіr players аnd fans? I know іtѕ tradition, bυt whаt іf іt hits 10degress below?
Thanks.
I do not know. I do not reflect they would cancel a game if it was -10. I reflect the Ice Bowl was sweet cold.
Who cares? We’re taught from a very young age that the team is more vital than us. Coming from a high school player in the northeast, suck it up. Honestly. We play in the snow and freezing cold WITHOUT sideline heaters. They’re freaking pansies if they nag about the cold.
There have been lots of games played at -10*. I have been to a game that was -35* below zero with the wind chill. The NFL isn’t cancelling any games due to cold. That’s just the way it is.
I dunno, but it is certainly surpass than playing in 100+, wouldn’t you agree?
the ice bowl which has been referred to on here was -48 degrees with wind chill. they dont cancel a game for cold
edit: the freezer bowl which featured my cincinnati bengals had a wind chill of unenthusiastic 59. the bengals offensive line wore small sleeves, cuz in the nati, we are men
Are you kiddin’. These are the best games as it tests the best.
I estimate they will go as far as the thermometer drops
Exactly its tradition
Its way too Green Bay’s advantage and teams like Chicage and Pitt and so why would they want to change the natural part of the game.
Im not a fan of any of these teams in view of the fact that Pitt beat my Cowboys last week in the cold weather but its part of what makes football, football.
Plus a lot of fans like watchin their teams in that weather. Guys get paid millions of dollars to do this stuff
Gotta like it
They will never shut down a Lambeau Field game. It would have to get below -50 degrees and they’d probably still send them out on the field. I was at a Lions/Packer game years ago that was -22 below wind chill. There have been even colder ones.
That’s the beauty of football. That’s what makes these players some of the toughest people we’ve ever seen.
Even if I gotta say, if the temperature was like that of Alaska, I reflect I’d draw the line there. I mean, a player could seriously risk his health exherting that much energy in a game when it’s like the temperature of Alaska.
How cold was Packers vs Giants last year in contest? I reflect it was like -10 degree, i dont remember. Don’t make NFL looks pantsy by postponing. Goodell is doing excellent job making it look like future flag football and now the temp ? Persons players are raking in millions, get their ass on the field, hot or cold.
Persons shoulder pads keep you warm. players also get a lot of in succession and hitting done, so their mind is not on the cold.
