    The fine (assumed right by the first poster) would be worth it to the player for the excellent relations he would build with the fans.

    Would definately get it back in longer term value, like a coach/manager who gets fined for arguing with the refs.

    I didn’t know there WAS a fine, other than paying for the cost of the football.
    Why would the NFL fine any player giving a reminder to their fans? – doesn’t make any sense.
