@Disneydanny The game would be over and team A would win

I despise to call this the “Brett Favre rule “(which is the only accurate name for it), because Brett Favre alone, out of all the experts and pundits, didn’t bitch about the lowly Saints going to Miami.

I don’t see how this new rule is any more honest than Sudden Death. With the new rule, the team who possesses the ball first has to go the length of the field and score 6 points if they are to win. The team who gets the ball second only has to get into field goal range and score 3 points. Right? If anything it’s LESS honest. It would be hilarious to have the Vikings lose in OT b/c of the new rule. You know that’s what’s gonna happen. It’s how the universe works :)

The new rule is surpass because then it will make coaches work harder to do anything to win a game

which games are more vital in overtime… contest or regular season? well there’s your answer.

  • Disneydanny says:

ok so what happens in this scenario:
Team A wins the coin toss and kicks a field goal agter which the other team fumbles the ball on the kickoff return and it’s recovered ny Team “A”

    This is too stupid.

woooohhh im so excited now there wont be no more unfair shit. the ancient OT rule is basically the same thing as who gets the most votes in 5 second win. that is some fuck up shit.

Keep injuries down probably. Likelihood of injuries increase, especially with fatigue setting in.

  • GWOZ0Z0 says:

I reflect the potential for more injuries is a huge reason why they don’t have it like institution. It’s a business. Players union probably don’t want it like institution. But, yeah, that would be more exciting for the most part

    how ironic

  • Justinpfx says:

WHY only in Postseason games even if?

  • iamagiantseaturd says:

this new rule still sucks… sudden death is dull. (whoever wins the coin toss nickles and dimes into field goal range.) Give us an OT like institution, Institution OT games are freaken FUN!
