also, williams may not be as excellent as he once was, but he’s an upgrade. we also upgraded at DE. yes we still have a terrible d-line, but bannan (former raven) jarvis green, and williams are ALL upgrades. we got DJ Williams. he’s a fantastic LB. that is all we have tho for tackling wise LB’s.
@CDiddy51 bailey’s still got a couple of years left. we got a FS to replace dawkins with lots of potential. Darcel McBath. 24 years ancient and drafted in the 09 draft. he did incredible on special teams and didnt get too much playing time on defense, but when he did, he got 2 interceptions (one of them off peyton manning) dumervil is coming back to denver next week to workout. so dont be suprised if we get a deal done with dumervil.
@tstarr17 Why would you assume that, Dawkins and Bailey are at the end of their careers and are shadows of their former selves. You have a no name D coordinator, a weak DL, shallow corp of LBs, and there is no guarantee that Dumervil will produce like last year. Hell Dumervil may not even be with the team. Baltimore continuisly upgrades its D, but Denver added no one worth mentioning. Don’t even name Jaamal Williams, hes hurt, ancient and finished.
@CDiddy51 baltimore has ancient key players on D as well. Ray Lewis is now 35. Reed is now 31. the broncos pass Defense only allowed one QB to throw for over 300 yards against them in 09 and that was donovan mcnabb with the eagles. the ravens pass D allowed it a couple of times. it may have been for just one season, (so far) but i guarantee the broncos pass D will be fine in 2010. run D surpass too
