What exactly is the difference between the NFL draft and the NFL? Supplemental Draft?

More specifically, thе Giants took QB Dave Brown wіth thе first pick іn thе 1992 Supplemental Draft. Dοеѕ thіѕ mean thаt hе wаѕ nοt ехсеllеnt enough tο bе picked іn thе regular draft, οr wаѕ hе аn underclassman οr something. Ofcourse hе wаѕ tеrrіblе, bυt іf thе Giants really thουght hе wουld bе ехсеllеnt whу wουld hе nοt bе іn thе regular NFL draft?

its like walkons in institution football. after they recruit, they still might need players at certain positions to completley fill the rosters. so the NFL will draft lower divison people or guys from another league, sometimes its just normal mediocre Div-1 players that DNQ for the regular draft

the regular draft is held in April and the supplemental draft is held in June . persons that didn’t declare in time or for some other reasons ( kicked out of school , ran into vex , etc. ) can declare after the regular draft and enter the supplemental draft in June . now the supplemental draft also goes in order of teams from worst to first, but if you draft someone in that draft ( no teams are forced to draft anyone ) then you lose you re draft picks accordingly ( a first for first , a second for second etc. ) for next years draft
