En lo que se refiere a las recientes temporadas ha obtenido el título de división en dos oportunidades (2008 y 2003), entre el 2002 y el 2009 se ha mantenido entre los puestos medios de la división, con la ventaja de haber sido wild card y haber llegado a los contest en el 2007 y 2006 respectivamente.

Para la temporada 2010-11 los Giants quieren superar la marca del año pasada cuando en la que, finalizaron de terceros -con 8 triunfos y 8 derrotas- en la división detrás de Dallas y Philadelphia.

NY Giants inició la temporada actual venciendo 31-18 a Carolina Panthers, pero las siguientes dos semanas sufre derrotas ante Indianapolis y Tennessee respectivamente. Los Giants inician su recuperación a partir de la cuarta semana, cuando marcan cinco triunfos consecutivos con los que se van acercando al primer puesto de la división.

En la décima semana, los Giants se enfrenta ante uno de sus rivales de división, Dallas Cowboys, quienes se encargan de cortar la racha de Nеw York con un marcador de 33-20. En la undécima jornada, con marcador de 27-17 Philadelphia son los responsables de la cuarta derrota de la temporada de los Giants. A partir de la semana doce los NY Giants se recuperan y marcan otros tres triunfos consecutivos, ante Jacksonville, Washington y Minnesota. Actualmente NY Giants se encuentran de segundos en la NFC Este empatados con Philadelphia con un registro de 9-4.

Con respecto a Minnesota Vikings, durante las temporadas recientes se ha mantenido entre el segundo y tercer puesto de la NFC Norte. Las temporadas ganadoras de los Vikings han sido en el 2008 y 2009 cuando se proclamaron campeones de la división.

Los Vikings nο lucieron bien al iniciar con dos derrotas, primero ante Nеw Orleans y luego ante Miami. Hasta la tercera semana vieron la luz tras derrotar 24-10 a Detroit. Con su primer triunfo de la temporada se fueron al descanso, pero al reinicio de labores los Jets toman el poder y los derrotan 29-20.

El segundo triunfo de los Vikings sucede en la sexta semana cuando vencieron a Dallas 24-21. Las siguientes dos semanas tanto Green Bay como Nеw England se encargan de derrotar a los Vikings.

Los Vikings obtienen un sufrido triunfo de 27-24 contra Atlanta en la novena jornada, para luego sufrir otras dos derrotas consecutivas, frente a Chicago y Green Bay.
