Monday Night Nfl Football : Pittsburgh Steelers Vs Denver Broncos Live Streaming

The Denver Broncos were a perfect 6-0 prior to last week but now all of the sudden, there are question marks. Nobody was expecting them to be 16-0 this season but a lot of people did expect a much better effort than they put forward last week at NFL Picks

All of the sudden, that begs the question as to whether Broncos are back to the reality that everyone perceived them to be or if last week just a one-off.

The difference last week was that for the first time this season, the Broncos were not more physical than their opponent. With a second consecutive AFC North opponent coming off a bye on the dial, the Broncos may be in danger of losing two straight.

The Pittsburgh Steelers offense will take a good look at some of the weaknesses that were exposed in the Broncos defense last week and they are sure to work on them. They’ll see that Joe Flacco had a high completion percentage and a running game that churned out 115 yards on 26 carries.

The Steelers will use Rashard Mendenhall to wear down the Broncos defense and then go to the air with Ben Roethlisberger. The Steelers passing game has plenty of weapons with receivers Santonio Holmes, Hines Ward and Mike Wallace, which means as long as they avoid throwing at Champ Bailey, they will be fine.

All of the sudden, the Broncos offense isn’t looking so hot. They are struggling to run the ball and they aren’t making plays down field, which has allowed opposing defenses to creep up to the line of scrimmage.

Part of the problem has been the decline of Eddie Royal, who is on pace for less than 400 yards receiving. With him being a non-factor, Brandon Marshall is facing more attention and it’s shortening the amount of options that Kyle Orton has in the passing game.

This is a unit that has all of the sudden grown compact and they’ll have to open up this week if they want to win. They may need more than just a handful of points to win this game so they better be ready to match some points.

The Broncos played a team that was very physical with them last week and they didn’t like it. Now they face a second consecutive opponent that is going to hit them in the mouth. Last week may have been a reality check but a lot of people are starting to feel that it is closer to reality than just an aberration.

Expect this Steelers defense bring a lot of pressure on the Broncos, who simply aren’t making any big plays right now.

Coming off a bye week with two weeks to prepare, expect the Steelers to be very focused en route to a second consecutive loss for the Broncos

NFL – Overview of Pittsburgh Steelers franchise, highs and lows.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have long been one of the powerhouse teams in the NFL. They have a rich history and have seen quite a bit of success. They have captured the Super Bowl Championship twice in the past 5 years (2005 and 2008), and have won 6 total. They have actually played in more AFC conference championship games than any other team and boast a record of appearing once in the Super Bowl every ten years for the past three decades. This consistency and hard work is what has earned them the respect of the “Steeler Nation” which is their large fanbase. They play all of their games at the Heinz Field which is also the home stadium of the University of Pittsburgh. The Team is based out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and plays in the North Division of the AFC (American Football Conference).

The Pittsburgh Steelers were founded by Art Rooney in 1933 as the Pittsburgh Pirates and were then the fifth oldest franchise in the National Football League. They were actually named after the Major League Baseball team in the area. There were a variety of other NFL teams that did this during this time period as well. They eventually would change their name to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Through the first four decades of their existence, the Pittsburgh Steelers didn’t have much to brag about. Although Art Rooney was well respected in the community, he never could quite put together the talent to have a winning team. The management made some crucial decisions in the 1950’s that would end up prolonging this winning drought by cutting John Unitas, Len Dawson, and Earl Morrall in favor of signing Bobby Lane. This seemed to be a good move at first but Lane just couldn’t reproduce the same results he had achieved in Detroit.

Things started to change around the late 1960’s when they hired Chuck Noll as their new coach. He brought in some promising talent with Joe Greene and Terry Bradshaw. 1972 would prove to be their best season in many years when they advanced to the AFC Championship Game. 1974 showed the fruits of hard work (and even better draft picks) as the Steelers took their game deep into the playoffs and eventually came away with their first Super Bowl win. They would repeat the following year and end up with two more Super Bowl rings by the time the 70’s came to a close. They totaled four Super Bowl Championships in six years which is a record that has yet to be matched. This is also the decade they became known for their “Steel Curtain” defense. In 1976 the team only allowed 28 point in their last 9 games of the year.

The eighties proved to not be as good as the seventies, and some big changes were made. Art Rooney passed away in 1988 and in 1991 Bill Cowher took over the team as head coach. It wasn’t until 2005 that the Steelers would be able to make it to the Super Bowl and capture another title. While this past season wasn’t as impressive as their Super Bowl run in 2009, they remain a solid team and are always a threat in big games.

Steelers’ Reed undergoes NFL-ordered evaluation
Steelers kicker Jeff Reed said Thursday the NFL ordered him to undergo an evaluation after he became involved in an alcohol-related dispute with Pittsburgh police following a home game in October. The evaluation apparently was similar to that recently completed by quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who was suspended six games for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.
